JROTC is an elective course taken in high school, that gives cadets the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills. The program provides students with the opportunity to earn up to four years of elective instruction that can lead to advanced rank when entering military service. There is no mandatory military obligation attached to a student taking part in this program.
Color Guard
In JROTC, the color guard is one of the important roles. It refers to a detachment of soldiers assigned to the protection of regimental colors. This picture was taken at the parade with the color guards, and also our most beloved principal, holding up our school's banner. "motivating young people to become better citizens."
In the college fairs, the guards escort the college representatives to the auditorium, then lead them into the gym. They also march to the national anthem, while the audience sings.
At the district meetings, the color guards are required to represent their colors, and flag skills.
